Leviticus 2

The Grain Offering

1When anyone brings a grain offering to the LORD, the offering shall be fine flour. The person shall pour oil on it and place frankincense on it, 2and bring it to Aaron’s sons, the priests. The priest shall take from it a handful of the fine flour and oil, together with all its frankincense, and turn its memorial portion into smoke on the altar, an offering by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 3What remains of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons. It is most holy from the offerings by fire to the LORD.

Baked Grain Offerings

4When you bring a grain offering baked in an oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers spread with oil. 5If your offering is a grain offering prepared on a griddle, it shall be fine flour mixed with oil and unleavened. 6Break it into pieces and pour oil on it. It is a grain offering. 7If your offering is a grain offering prepared in a pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

8You shall bring to the LORD the grain offering made from these things. It shall be presented to the priest, who shall bring it to the altar. 9The priest shall lift from the grain offering its memorial portion and turn it into smoke on the altar, an offering by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 10What remains of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons. It is most holy from the offerings by fire to the LORD.

Yeast, Honey, and Salt

11No grain offering that you bring to the LORD shall be made with yeast, for you shall not turn any yeast or any honey into smoke as an offering by fire to the LORD. 12You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of first produce, but they shall not go up on the altar as a pleasing aroma. 13You shall season every grain offering with salt. You shall not let the salt of the covenant of your God be missing from your grain offering. With every offering you shall bring salt.

First Produce

14If you bring a grain offering of first produce to the LORD, you shall bring fresh heads of grain roasted in fire, crushed grain from the fresh crop, as the grain offering of your first produce. 15You shall put oil on it and place frankincense on it. It is a grain offering. 16The priest shall turn into smoke as its memorial portion some of the crushed grain and oil, together with all its frankincense. It is an offering by fire to the LORD.
