Abraham Was Set Right by Trust

What then shall we say that Abraham, our ancestor according to the flesh, discovered? For if Abraham was declared righteous by works, he has something to boast about—but not before God. For what does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, wages are not counted as a gift but as something owed. But to the one who does not work but believes in the God who declares the ungodly righteous, that person's faith is counted as righteousness.
