Psalm 77

I Cry Aloud to God

My voice is to God, and I cry aloud;
my voice is to God, that God may hear me.
In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;
at night my hand is stretched out and does not grow weary;
my soul refuses to be comforted.
I remember God, and I groan;
I meditate, and my spirit grows faint.
Selah.
You hold my eyelids open;
I am troubled and cannot speak.
I consider the days of old,
the years long past.
I remember my song in the night;
I meditate in my heart,
and my spirit searches:

Has Steadfast Love Ceased?

Will the Lord reject forever
and never again show favor?
Has steadfast love ceased forever?
Has the promise come to an end
for generation after generation?
Has God forgotten to be gracious?
Has anger shut up compassion?
Selah.
Then I said, “This is my grief:
that the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

I Will Remember the Deeds of the LORD

I will remember the deeds of the LORD;
yes, I will remember your wonders from of old.
I will ponder all your work
and meditate on your mighty deeds.
O God, your way is holy.
What god is great like God?
You are the God who works wonders;
you have made your strength known among the peoples.
With your arm you redeemed your people,
the children of Jacob and Joseph.
Selah.

Your Way Was through the Sea

The waters saw you, O God;
the waters saw you and writhed;
yes, the depths trembled.
The clouds poured out water;
the skies gave forth thunder;
your arrows flashed on every side.
The sound of your thunder was in the whirlwind;
lightning lit up the world;
the earth trembled and shook.
Your way was through the sea,
your path through mighty waters,
yet your footprints were not known.
You led your people like a flock
by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
