Psalm 66

Make a Joyful Shout to God

Make a joyful shout to God,
all the earth.
Sing the glory of his name;
give glory to his praise.
Say to God,
“How fearsome are your works.

Because of the greatness of your strength,
your enemies cringe before you.
All the earth bows down to you
and sings to you;

they sing praise to your name.”

Come and See What God Has Done

Come and see the works of God;
fearsome is his doing toward the children of humankind.
He turned the sea into dry ground;
through the river they passed on foot.

There we rejoiced in him,
who rules by his strength forever,
whose eyes keep watch on the nations.

Let the rebellious not exalt themselves.

God Has Kept Us Among the Living

Bless our God, O peoples;
let the sound of his praise be heard,
who has kept our soul among the living
and has not let our foot slip.
For you, O God, have tested us;
you have refined us as silver is refined.
You brought us into the net;
you laid a crushing burden on our backs.
You let mortals ride over our heads;
we went through fire and through water,

yet you brought us out
to a place of abundance.

I Will Come into Your House

I will come into your house with burnt offerings;
I will pay you my vows,
which my lips uttered
and my mouth spoke when I was in distress.
I will offer to you burnt offerings of fatlings,
with the smoke of rams;

I will make an offering of bulls
with goats.

Come and Hear

Come and hear, all you who fear God,
and I will tell what he has done for my soul.
I cried to him with my mouth,
and praise was under my tongue.
If I had regarded iniquity in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened.
But truly God has listened;
he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God,
who has not turned away my prayer

or his steadfast love from me.
