Psalm 65

1Silence and praise await you, God, in Zion;
and to you vows shall be fulfilled.

2O you who hear prayer,
to you all flesh will come.

3Words of iniquities prevail against me;
our transgressions—you atone for them.

4Happy are those whom you choose and bring near,
to dwell in your courts!
We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house,
the holiness of your temple.

5With awe-inspiring deeds of righteousness you answer us,
O God of our salvation,
the hope of all the ends of the earth
and of the distant seas.

6You set the mountains in place by your strength,
being girded with might;

7Who calms the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves,
and the tumult of the peoples.

8Those who dwell at the farthest ends are in awe of your signs;
you make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.

9You visit the earth and water it,
you greatly enrich it;
the river of God is full of water;
you prepare their grain,
for so you provide for it.

10You drench its furrows, smooth its ridges,
you soften it with showers, and bless its growth.

11You crown the year with your bounty;
your carts overflow with abundance.

12The pastures of the wilderness overflow,
and the hills gird themselves with joy;

13The meadows clothe themselves with flocks,
the valleys deck themselves with grain;
they shout and sing together for joy.
