Psalm 112
Happy Is the One Who Fears the LORD
Praise the LORD!
Happy is the one who fears the LORD,
who greatly delights in God’s commandments.
Their offspring will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches are in their house,
and their righteousness endures forever.
Light rises in the darkness for the upright—
gracious, compassionate, and righteous.
It is well with the one who is gracious and lends,
who conducts affairs with justice.
The Righteous Will Not Be Shaken
For the righteous will never be shaken;
they will be remembered forever.
They are not afraid of bad news;
their heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.
Their heart is steady; they are not afraid,
until they look in triumph on their foes.
They have scattered abroad; they have given to the poor.
Their righteousness endures forever;
their horn is raised in honor.
The wicked see it and are angry;
they gnash their teeth and melt away.
The desire of the wicked will perish.
