Bildad: How Can a Human Be Righteous Before God?

1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said: 2“Dominion and dread are with him;
he makes peace in his heights. 3Is there any number to his armies?
And upon whom does his light not rise? 4How then can a human be righteous before God?
How can one born of woman be pure? 5Look, even the moon is not bright,
and the stars are not pure in his eyes. 6How much less a human, a maggot,
and a son of man, a worm!”
