Ezekiel 6

The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

"Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them, saying, 'Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD GOD: Thus says the LORD GOD to the mountains and the hills, to the ravines and valleys: Behold, I am bringing a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places. Your altars shall be desolate, your incense altars shattered, and I will cast down your slain before your idols. I will lay the corpses of the Israelites before their idols, and scatter your bones around your altars. In all your dwellings the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate, so that your altars may be destroyed and be made desolate, your idols may be broken and come to an end, your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be blotted out. The slain shall fall in your midst, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

But I will leave a remnant, when you have some who escape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered among the countries. Then those of you who escape will remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, how I have been broken with their adulterous heart that has turned away from me, and with their eyes that have turned after their idols. And they will loathe themselves for the evils which they committed in all their abominations. And they shall know that I am the LORD; I did not speak in vain concerning bringing this evil upon them.

Thus says the LORD GOD: Clap your hands, stamp your feet, and say, 'Alas,' because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel. By the sword, by famine, and by pestilence they shall fall. He who is far off shall die of pestilence; he who is near shall fall by the sword; he who remains and is besieged shall die by famine. Thus will I spend my fury upon them. And you shall know that I am the LORD, when their slain are among their idols, around their altars, on every high hill, on all the mountaintops, under every green tree, and under every leafy oak, the places where they offered pleasing aromas to all their idols. And I will stretch out my hand against them and make the land desolate and waste, from the wilderness of Diblah wherever they dwell. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.'"
