Ephesians 4
Gifts for Building the Body
And he himself gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as shepherds and teachers, to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up Christ’s body, until we all reach unity of the trust and of the knowledge of God’s Son, mature humanity, the measure of the stature of Christ’s fullness. Then we will no longer be children, tossed by waves and carried around by every wind of teaching, by human trickery and crafty schemes of deceit. Instead, speaking truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head—Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love as each part does its work.
