The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron—four.
The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Samuel, heads of their ancestral houses of Tola, warriors of strength. Their number in the days of David, by their generations, was twenty-two thousand six hundred. The son of Uzzi: Izrahiah. The sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah—five, all of them heads. Along with them, by their generations and their ancestral houses, were divisions of an army for war: thirty-six thousand, for they had many wives and children. Their kindred among all the clans of Issachar were warriors of strength: eighty-seven thousand, enrolled in all.
Benjamin: Bela, Becher, and Jediael—three.
The sons of Bela: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri—five, heads of ancestral houses, warriors of strength. Their genealogical enrollment was twenty-two thousand thirty-four. The sons of Becher: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these were sons of Becher. Their genealogical enrollment, by their generations, listed twenty thousand two hundred heads of ancestral houses, warriors of strength.
The sons of Jediael: Bilhan. The sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar. All these were sons of Jediael, heads of ancestral houses, warriors of strength—seventeen thousand two hundred able to go out to war.
Shuppim and Huppim were sons of Ir; Hushim was the son of Aher.
The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum, sons of Bilhah.
The sons of Manasseh: Asriel, whom his Aramean concubine bore. She bore Machir, the father of Gilead. Machir took a wife for Huppim and Shuppim; the name of his sister was Maacah. The name of the second was Zelophehad, and Zelophehad had daughters. Maacah, the wife of Machir, bore a son, and she named him Peresh. The sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eleadah his son, Tahath his son, Zabad his son, Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead. The men of Gath who were born in the land killed them, because they went down to take their livestock. Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his kindred came to comfort him. Rephah was his son, Resheph, Telah his son, Tahan his son, Ladan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son, Nun his son, Joshua his son.
Their possession and their settlements were Bethel and its villages; eastward, Naaran; westward, Gezer and its villages; Shechem and its villages as far as Ayyah and its villages. Along the border of the sons of Manasseh were Beth-shean and its villages, Taanach and its villages, Megiddo and its villages, and Dor and its villages. In these the sons of Joseph, son of Israel, lived.
The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and Serah their sister. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel; he was the father of Birzaith. Heber fathered Japhlet, Shomer, Hotham, and Shua their sister. The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were the sons of Japhlet. The sons of Shemer: Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram. The sons of Helem his brother: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal. The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, and Imrah; Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera. The sons of Jether: Jephunneh, Pispa, and Ara. The sons of Ulla: Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia. All these were sons of Asher, heads of ancestral houses, chosen warriors of strength, and heads among the leaders. Their genealogical enrollment for the army in war numbered twenty-six thousand men.
