Titus 2
Teach What Fits Sound Teaching
But you, speak what fits sound teaching. Older men are to be sober, dignified, self-controlled, sound in trust, love, and endurance. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or enslaved to much wine, but teachers of what is good, so that they may train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, workers at home, kind, and responsive to their own husbands, so that God’s word is not slandered. Likewise urge younger men to be self-controlled. In everything present yourself as an example of good works, showing integrity and dignity in your teaching, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
Slaves Adorn the Teaching of God Our Savior
Slaves are to be responsive to their own masters in everything, seeking to please them, not talking back, not stealing, but showing complete good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior.
Grace Trains Us
For God’s grace has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live self-controlled, righteous, and godly lives in the present age, while we wait for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and cleanse for himself a people as his own possession, zealous for good works. Speak these things, encourage, and correct with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
