Psalm 62

1Only in God is my soul at rest;
from him is my salvation. 2Only he is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. 3How long will all of you attack a man
to batter him,
a leaning wall, a tottering fence? 4Only from his exaltation they have counseled to thrust him down;
they delight in falsehood.
With their mouth they bless,
but inwardly they curse. Selah 5Only in God, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him. 6Only he is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. 7On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God. 8Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah 9Surely men of low degree are vanity,
and men of high degree are a lie;
in the balances they go up;
together they are lighter than a breath. 10Trust not in oppression,
and do not put vain hope in robbery;
if riches increase,
do not set your heart upon them. 11One thing God has spoken,
two things I have heard:
that power belongs to God, 12and to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love,
for you will repay everyone
according to their work.
