Psalm 25
Of David.
To you, LORD,
I lift up my soul.
My God, in you I trust;
let me not be put to shame;
let not my enemies exult over me.
Indeed, none who wait for you will be put to shame;
those who act treacherously without cause will be put to shame.
Make known to me your ways, LORD;
teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all day long.
Remember your compassion, LORD,
and your steadfast loves,
for they have been from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
according to your steadfast love, remember me,
for the sake of your goodness, LORD.
Good and upright is the LORD;
therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in justice,
and teaches the humble his way.
All the paths of the LORD are steadfast love and faithfulness
for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.
For the sake of your name, LORD,
forgive my iniquity, for it is great.
Who is the person who fears the LORD?
He instructs them in the way he chooses.
They themselves will dwell in goodness,
and their offspring will inherit the land.
The counsel of the LORD is for those who fear him,
and he makes his covenant known to them.
My eyes are always toward the LORD,
for he brings my feet out of the net.
Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart have grown large;
bring me out of my distresses.
Look on my affliction and my trouble,
and take away all my sins.
Look on my enemies, for they are many,
and they hate me with violent hatred.
Guard my soul and rescue me;
let me not be put to shame,
for I take refuge in you.
May integrity and uprightness guard me,
for I wait for you.
Redeem Israel, O God,
from all its troubles.
