Psalm 141

Let My Prayer Be Incense before You

O LORD, I call to you; hasten to me.
Give ear to my voice when I call to you.
Let my prayer be set before you as incense,
the lifting of my hands as the evening offering.
Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth;
keep watch over the door of my lips.
Do not incline my heart toward an evil thing,
to practice wicked deeds
with those who do evil;
let me not eat their delicacies.

Let the Righteous Strike Me in Steadfast Love

Let the righteous strike me—it is steadfast love;
let one rebuke me—it is oil for my head;
let my head not refuse it.
Yet my prayer is still against their evil deeds.
When their judges are thrown down beside the rock,
then they will hear my words, for they are pleasant.
As when one plows and breaks open the earth,
so our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.

My Eyes Are toward You

But my eyes are toward you, O LORD my Lord;
in you I take refuge.
Do not pour out my life.
Keep me from the trap they have laid for me
and from the snares of those who do evil.
Let the wicked fall into their own nets together,
while I pass by safely.
