Psalms 125

The LORD Surrounds the People

People who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but remains forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the LORD surrounds the people
from now and forever. For the scepter of wickedness will not rest
upon the land allotted to the righteous,
so that the righteous do not stretch out their hands
toward injustice.

Peace Be upon Israel

Do good, O LORD, to people who are good
and to people who are upright in their hearts. But people who turn aside to their crooked ways—
the LORD will lead them away with people who do evil.
Peace be upon Israel!
