Psalm 108

My Heart Is Steadfast

1My heart is steadfast, O God.
I will sing and make music;
awake, my glory! 2Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn. 3I will give thanks to you among the peoples, O LORD,
and I will make music to you among the nations. 4For your steadfast love is great above the heavens,
and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. 5Be exalted above the heavens, O God,
and let your glory be over all the earth. 6So that your beloved may be delivered,
save with your right hand and answer me.

God Has Spoken in Holiness

7God has spoken in holiness:
“I will exult; I will divide Shechem
and measure out the Valley of Succoth. 8Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim is the helmet of my head;
Judah is my scepter. 9Moab is my washbasin;
upon Edom I cast my sandal;
over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

With God We Will Do Valiantly

10Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom? 11Have you not rejected us, O God?
You do not go out, O God, with our armies. 12Give us help against the foe,
for human deliverance is worthless. 13With God we will do valiantly,
and God will tread down our adversaries.
