Philippians 4
Gratitude for the Philippians’ Partnership
I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that your concern for me has blossomed again. You were concerned before, but had no opportunity to act. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I face. I know how to live with little, and I know how to have plenty. In every situation I have learned the secret: being well fed or hungry, having plenty or going without. I have strength for all things through the one who strengthens me.
Still, you did well to share in my distress. You Philippians know that in the early days of the good news, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the account of giving and receiving except you alone. Even in Thessalonica, you sent help for my needs more than once. It is not the gift I seek, but the fruit that grows to your account.
I have received everything in full and have more than enough. I am well supplied now that I have received your gifts from Epaphroditus—a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will meet every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Doxology
