Matthew 13
Wheat and darnel
He set another parable before them: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. While people were sleeping, his enemy came, sowed darnel among the wheat, and went away. When the plants sprouted and formed grain, the darnel appeared as well. The owner’s slaves came and asked him, ‘Master, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did the darnel come from?’ ‘An enemy has done this,’ he told them. The slaves asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather it?’ ‘No,’ he said. ‘While gathering the darnel you might uproot the wheat along with it. Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I will tell the reapers: Gather the darnel first and tie it in bundles to burn, but bring the wheat into my barn.’”
