Luke 7

John’s Messengers

18John’s disciples told him about all these things. So John called two of his disciples 19and sent them to the Lord to ask, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” 20When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to ask you, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?’” 21At that very hour Jesus healed many people of diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and he graciously gave sight to many who were blind. 22Then he answered them, “Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: blind people see, those who are lame walk, people with leprosy are made clean, those who are deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor receive good news. 23Blessed is anyone who does not stumble because of me.”
