Galatians 6
Bear One Another’s Burdens
Brothers and sisters, even if someone is caught in some wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore that person in a spirit of gentleness, watching yourself so that you too are not tested. Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks they are something when they are nothing, they deceive themselves. Each person should test their own work, and then they will have reason for satisfaction in themselves alone and not in comparison with someone else. For each person will carry their own load. The one who is taught the word should share all good things with the one who teaches.
Sow to the Spirit
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. Whatever a person sows, that is what they will reap. The one who sows to their own flesh will reap decay from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. Let us not grow weary in doing good, because at the proper time we will reap if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to the household of faith.
A New Creation
See what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand! Those who want to make a good showing in the flesh are the ones trying to compel you to be circumcised, only so they will not be persecuted for Christ’s cross. For even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the Law, but they want you to be circumcised so they can boast in your flesh. But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world. For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything; what matters is a new creation. Peace and mercy upon all who walk by this rule, and upon the Israel of God. From now on let no one cause me trouble, because I carry the marks of Jesus on my body. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.
