Ezra 2
Those Who Returned from Exile
These are the people of the province who went up from the captivity of the exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon. They returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his own city.
They came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, and Baanah.

The Priests and Levites
The priests: the descendants of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three; the descendants of Immer, one thousand fifty-two; the descendants of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven; the descendants of Harim, one thousand seventeen. The Levites: the descendants of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the descendants of Hodaviah, seventy-four. The singers: the descendants of Asaph, one hundred twenty-eight. The descendants of the gatekeepers: the descendants of Shallum, Ater, Talmon, Akkub, Hatita, and Shobai, one hundred thirty-nine in all.
The Temple Servants
The temple servants: the descendants of Ziha, Hasupha, and Tabbaoth; the descendants of Keros, Siaha, and Padon; the descendants of Lebanah, Hagabah, and Akkub; the descendants of Hagab, Shamlai, and Hanan; the descendants of Giddel, Gahar, and Reaiah; the descendants of Rezin, Nekoda, and Gazzam; the descendants of Uzza, Paseah, and Besai; the descendants of Asnah, Meunim, and Nephisim; the descendants of Bakbuk, Hakupha, and Harhur; the descendants of Bazluth, Mehida, and Harsha; the descendants of Barkos, Sisera, and Temah; the descendants of Neziah and Hatipha.
The Descendants of Solomon’s Servants
The descendants of Solomon’s servants: the descendants of Sotai, Hassophereth, and Peruda; the descendants of Jaalah, Darkon, and Giddel; the descendants of Shephatiah, Hattil, Pochereth-Hazzebaim, and Ami. All the temple servants and the descendants of Solomon’s servants were three hundred ninety-two.
Those Whose Genealogy Could Not Be Established
These came up from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer, but they could not show their ancestral houses or their descent, whether they belonged to Israel: the descendants of Delaiah, Tobiah, and Nekoda, six hundred fifty-two. And from the descendants of the priests: the descendants of Habaiah, Hakkoz, and Barzillai, who had taken a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called by their name. These searched for their registration among those enrolled by genealogy, but it was not found, so they were excluded from the priesthood as unclean. The governor told them that they should not eat from the most holy things until a priest stood with Urim and Thummim.
The Whole Assembly
The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred sixty, besides their male servants and female servants, who numbered seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven. They also had two hundred male and female singers. Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred forty-five; their camels, four hundred thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred twenty.
Gifts for the House of God
When some of the heads of ancestral houses came to the house of the LORD in Jerusalem, they gave freely for the house of God, to raise it on its site. According to their ability they gave to the treasury for the work sixty-one thousand darics of gold, five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priestly garments. So the priests, the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the temple servants lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
