1 Chronicles 20
At the turn of the year, at the time when kings go out, Joab led out the army's forces. He devastated the land of the Ammonites, then came and besieged Rabbah, while David remained in Jerusalem. Joab struck Rabbah and tore it down. David took the crown of their king from his head and found that it weighed a talent of gold, with a precious stone in it. It was placed on David’s head. He also brought out a very great amount of plunder from the city. He brought out the people who were in it and put them to saws, iron cutting tools, and axes. David did this to all the cities of the Ammonites. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
After this, war arose at Gezer with the Philistines. Then Sibbecai the Hushathite struck down Sippai, one of the descendants of the Rephaim, and they were subdued.
There was again war with the Philistines, and Elhanan son of Jair struck down Lahmi, the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear shaft was like a weaver’s beam.
There was again war at Gath. There was a man of great size whose digits numbered six and six, twenty-four in all; he too was born to the Repha. He taunted Israel, and Jonathan son of Shimea, David’s brother, struck him down. These were born to the Repha at Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.
