1 Chronicles 2
These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun; Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. Three were born to him from the daughter of Shua, the Canaanite woman. But Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the eyes of the LORD, and he put him to death. Tamar, Judah's daughter-in-law, bore to him Perez and Zerah. It was these five of Judah's sons.
The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.
The sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara—five in all.
The son of Carmi was Achar, the troubler of Israel, who violated the ban.
The son of Ethan was Azariah.
The sons of Hezron who were born to him: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.
Ram fathered Amminadab, and Amminadab fathered Nahshon, leader of the children of Judah. Nahshon fathered Salma, and Salma fathered Boaz. Boaz fathered Obed, and Obed fathered Jesse. Jesse fathered Eliab, his firstborn; Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third; Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth; Ozem the sixth, David the seventh.
Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel—three. Abigail bore Amasa, and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.
Caleb son of Hezron had children by his wife Azubah and by Jerioth. Her sons were Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. Azubah died, and Caleb took for himself Ephrath, who bore him Hur. Hur fathered Uri, and Uri fathered Bezalel.
Later, Hezron went into the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead; he married her when he was sixty years old, and she bore him Segub. Segub fathered Jair, who held twenty-three towns in the land of Gilead. But Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, along with Kenath and the daughters of Gilead—sixty towns in all. All these were descendants of Machir, the father of Gilead.
After the death of Hezron in Caleb Ephrathah, Hezron's wife Abijah bore him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa.
The sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron: Ram the firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. Jerahmeel had another wife named Atarah, who was the mother of Onam.
The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel: Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.
The sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur. Abishur's wife was named Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid. The sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim. Seled died without children. The son of Appaim: Ishi, and the son of Ishi: Sheshan. Sheshan's descendants: Ahlai. The sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan. Jether died without children. The sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.
Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. He had an Egyptian servant named Jarha. Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to his servant Jarha, and she bore him Attai. Attai fathered Nathan, Nathan fathered Zabad. Zabad fathered Ephlal, and Ephlal fathered Obed. Obed fathered Jehu, Jehu fathered Azariah. Azariah fathered Helez, Helez fathered Eleasah. Eleasah fathered Sismai, and Sismai fathered Shallum. Shallum fathered Jekamiah, and Jekamiah fathered Elishama.
The sons of Caleb, Jerahmeel's brother: Mesha his firstborn, the father of Ziph, and Mareshah the father of Hebron. The sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. Shema fathered Raham, the father of Jorkoam, and Rekem fathered Shammai. The son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Beth-Zur.
Caleb's concubine Ephah bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez. Haran fathered Gazez.
The sons of Jahdai: Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.
Caleb's concubine Maacah bore Sheber and Tirhanah. She bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah and Gibea. Caleb's daughter was Aksah.
These were the sons of Caleb: The sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal fathered Kiriath-jearim, Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth-gader.
The sons of Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim were Haroeh, half of the Manahathites,
and the families of Kiriath-jearim—the Ithrite, the Puthite, the Shumathite, and the Mishraite. From these the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites came forth.
The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Ataroth-beth-Joab, half of the Manahathites, and the Zorites.
The families of Scribal families residing in Jabez—the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Sucathites—these are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
